The Camano Island Mosquito Control District will be conducting mosquito abatement activities including pesticide applications as needed.
The approximate date range of applications; March 2025 through October 2025. Aerial applications will also be used in some areas.
Pesticides and active ingredients planned for use;
- VectoMax WSP - Bacillus thuringiensis, subsp. Israelensis
- Metalarv XRP - (S) Methoprene
- Duplex G - Bacillus thuringiensis, subsp. Israelensis, (S) Methoprene
- MetaLarv - (s-TP)-Methoprene.

Camano Island Mosquito Control District
The Camano Island Mosquito Control District is seeking interested individuals to fill openings on the Board of Trustees. To be considered for an opening, a person must be an elector of the district and reside within the district. Members are appointed for a two-year term. The term for positions will start January 1, 2024, and end December 31, 2025. Board members are appointed volunteers and serve without monetary compensation.
Interested individuals should contact the Camano Island Mosquito Control District via phone, mail or email and request an application for the Camano Island Mosquito Control District Board position. The Board currently meets on the third Thursday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Camano Senior and Community Center. For more information call, write, email, or visit our website.
